Sketches

Above are my first ever sketches which i made when trying to get the first ideas for my magazine, as you can see they are extremely different to my final product.

Below are the sketches I made after I completed my planning process and took my photos. I then could base my magazine on this draft as it is more recent and up to date. Although it is an up to date version, there is still many differences between the sketch and the final product, such as; the amount of pages I anticipated to do;contents page and other small gimics I added in as I went along.

Audience Feedback

Alfie, Clare, Faye and I decided that we would get some audience feedback by having a group discussion about mine and Alfie's magazine first draft. We thought that this would help us find out what people liked and disliked about our first trial of our magazine. We spoke about the front cover, contents and the majority of the DPS that we have done so far. Clare, Faye and Alfie gave me some constructive criticism to work on and to improve my contents page especially. I will definitely take their views on board as they fall into the target audience which I want to purchase my magazine. Clare, Faye and I then moved on to telling Alfie what worked with his magazine and what he could maybe improve. I really benefited from this activity as it's a good way to get a number of other opinions which vary from your own and can provide you with creative, original ideas that I may not have thought of. Here is a short video of us discussing our magazines:

Production Post 16

Today, I decided to record the creation of my first draft of my Front Cover, Contents and the 2 Double-page Spreads I have completed. It is a good way to see how your magazine has come along when I compare this to my final product in a few months. I demonstrates each stage and how the pages develop with the addition of small, effective features. To make these videos, I used a software called Camstudio. It's a free resource which I find very useful when wanting to post something on my screen instead of just using print screens. I looks very realistic and professional.
